Our Story
In early 2010, Briarwood Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, Alabama, sent Ronnie and Amanda Garcia, with their four kids, to Puerto Rico to plant a Spanish-speaking, PCA church in San Juan. That church, Iglesia La Travesia, was formed with the mission of raising up and training local leaders to plant more churches on the island.
As it grew, La Travesia began seeing English speakers attend their services, even if they did not speak Spanish. As Ronnie and Amanda ministered to these families, a new idea formed of planting a gospel-centered, English-speaking church to meet the needs of these believers. In this way, Trinity Church was born.
The Lord grew Trinity, and in the fall of 2018, we began meeting on Sunday mornings in our current location.
Our mission at Trinity Church is for English speakers in Dorado and San Juan to encounter Jesus Christ, live out their faith more deeply, and together, bless Puerto Rico.
For this reason, we highly prioritize Christ-centered teaching, small groups, Bible studies, and connecting deeply with the local communities of San Juan and Dorado in works of service and outreach.
We would love to have you visit!
