Core Commitments

Trinity Church is joyfully committed to God’s Word and the historic, Christian faith. Read below for highlights.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God's truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

The Trinity

We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Human Beings

We believe that all human beings are created in the good image of God, yet as a result of the sins of our first parents, all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God's righteous displeasure, except by His mercy.

The Person of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation. We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation is based solely on God’s grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith. It is the Holy Spirit who gives God’s people the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

The Church

We believe that the church is the people of God, saved by Christ and founded on the witness of the Apostles. It is in local congregations that we worship our Lord, grow in his likeness, and enjoy serving him together.

a Presbyterian Church

Trinity Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), and as such, maintains the theological and ecclesiastical roots of the Reformed tradition. The Westminster Confession of Faith is an excellent summary of those doctrines which we hold dear and has served as a doctrinal standard for Presbyterian churches since the 17th century.
